A Business that Warms the Heart

As a part of SINGTEX Group, every stage of an S.Café® product is carefully examined to ensure that it has the lowest environmental impact possible. Environmental protection is in our DNA, from the R&D of new products to manufacturing and all the way to end-of-life recyclability. We work tirelessly to create sustainable products and more Eco-friendly production methods.
Our factories focus on energy conservation, carbon reduction, and limiting water consumption. As a result, our factories operate on 100% renewable energy.

Innovating Towards A Better Future

Sustainability is not just about lowering environmental impact, it's about creating more powerful products in the textile industry.

Recycling Of Non-Grain Raw Materials

S.Café® technology extracts resources from non-edible food waste from used coffee grounds and applies them to textiles. The low-temperature treatment process has lower CO2 emissions than traditional carbonization processes.
S.Café® porous characteristics give textiles enhanced performance. The extracted coffee grounds can provide superior odor-control, quick-dry, cooling and UVB/UVA protection.

Coffee Oil

The top golden yellow part of an espresso is named "Crema" and it is created from the naturals oils in coffee. Through our S.Café® process we capture the remaining oil from used coffee grounds to create waterproof and moisture-permeable membranes.
Our coffee membranes are USDA certified as a non-grain-sourced biomass raw material, reducing the reliance on petrochemical raw materials.

Lifewear for Everyday

Our lifewear concept is to not only provide a comfortable outfit, but also reduce living-cost energy consumption by function. With S.Café®'s quick-drying, odor control, and cooling features, people can reduce their need for clothing dryers and air conditioning.

Quick Drying

S.Café® yarn can effectively wick moisture and achieve quick drying (Test method: GB/T 21655.1-2008). In the case of washing and maintenance, the quick dry effect can reduce the energy consumption of drying and heating to achieve the right balance between sustainability and life.

Cool Touch

The cool touch of ICE-CAFÉ™ yarn, combined with a proper indoor air-conditioning environment, can reduce the dependence on air conditioning, and provide comfort, while reducing energy consumption.

Washing

Underwear, socks, sportswear, and soiled clothes should be washed regularly.
According to a British survey, nearly 30% of people consider washing their daily clothes based on their smell. Coffee yarn can control odor, which will prolong their wearing time between washes.
Less laundering can save energy and extend the life of clothes.

Coffee And Life

When people drink coffee, only 0.2% of it is consumed, and the remaining 99.8% becomes waste, so we re-use the remaining waste coffee grounds to use their extracted resources into yarn.
Other than being transformed into S.Café® products, coffee ground waste can be used in various every day applications.

Fertilizer

Coffee grounds contain nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium that are beneficial to plant growth. You can add coffee grounds to garden soil as a plant fertilizer. Make sure to mix the coffee grounds with the soil to avoid over-concentration.

Deodorize

Coffee grounds can absorb odors. People can lessen the effects of unwanted odors by placing dried coffee grounds in places of concern such as a refrigerator, cupboard, or shoe cabinet.

Detergent

Coffee grounds' abrasive surface can be used to clean pots and pans or stubbornly stained surfaces. With an appropriate amount of detergent or soap, wipe area with coffee soap mixture to clean.

Deodorant Pack

Coffee grounds have odor-absorbing properties and can be used as a deodorizer by placing dry coffee grounds in socks or thin fabric pouches and putting them in shoe cabinets or wardrobes.

Handicrafts

Coffee grounds can be used to make handicrafts such as paintings, paper, or candles. Besides, moistened coffee grounds can be dried with paper pulp to create richly textured artwork.

Body Scrub

Coffee grounds have abrasive properties and can be used for body exfoliation. Gently massage moistened coffee grounds into the skin to help remove dead skin cells and improve circulation. For added moisture, mix coffee grounds with coconut oil to create an exfoliating bath wash.

Certificates for Materials

USDA Certified Bio-based

Third-party testing certification through the United Stated Department of Agriculture that tests and verifies the percentage of bio-based materials in a product.

AIRMEM Coffee Membrane

AIRNEST Coffee Foam

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)

GRS is an international third party certification of recycled content. The certification includes chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical controls.

Certificates for Fabrics

bluesign®

The bluesign® system focuses on eliminating harmful substances from textile production by creating a more sustainable manufacturing process. As an independent body they set controls and standards to ensure products with the bluesign® logo are both environmentally friendly and safe.

Oeko-Tex® Standard 100

A worldwide independent testing and certification system to guarantee products are free from harmful substances. Every component of a product that has the Oeko-Tex logo has been tested in accordance to regulated and non-regulated substance criteria. Certified Oeko-Tex products are guaranteed to be harmless to human health.

Cradle to Cradle

Evaluate existing products and processes, and replace environmentally harmful, energy-consuming, and water-consuming raw materials and processes with non-toxic raw materials, clean energy, and water-saving processes. Properly plan the recycling project so that the product supply chain, products and recycling methods are all environmentally friendly.

Carbon Footprint Verification

Calculated with CO2 as a unit, so that the greenhouse gas emissions of the product's life cycle (raw materials, manufacturing, transportation, use and disposal/recycling) can be fully quantified and recorded.

TÜV

TÜV Rheinland’s Green Product Mark is a voluntary, multiple criteria-based environmental labelling programme that indicates the overall environmental preferability of a product within a particular category based on life cycle considerations
